Synopsis

The actresses from T de Teatre have taken on a new challenge. With How can it be that I love you so much the company has taken a new turn, a comedy of terror that breaks away from the type of show they have produced up to now. The company commissioned the Argentine playwright Javier Daulte to write a play for them and what emerged is this precise combination of humour and mystery. The result of this unusual creative mix is a fast-moving adventure bursting with energy.

How can it be that I love you so much has six women as its protagonists. They are caught up in circumstances that change their lives forever. A man goes away for a few days on a business trip, leaving his wife alone at home. The mystery begins when during his absence the woman starts to receive threatening anonymous phone calls. A policewoman gets involved and begins to put two and two together. Her investigations lead her to a flat occupied by a group of women who conceal their shadowy past: two twin sisters who loved the same man, a third sister who had a difficult childhood, and a friend who is kind and down to earth despite having gone through very hard times. They all share feelings of love, friendship, hate and envy which, flavoured with strong doses of black humour and suspense, help to explain the reasons for everything.

A project from the heart that proposes ninety minutes of entertainment full of uncertainties that keep the audience glued to their seats. The story is told using constant jumps in time, and the different enigmas presented by the plot are successively unveiled at a furious pace.

Jon Berrondo’s set design blends in with the tone of the play. The stage effects completely immerse the audience in the story and manage to make absolutely paranormal events seem real.

How can it be that I love you so much In the actresses from T de Teatre enter in the terrain of the thriller, with this delectable comedy of terror where fear and smiles are guaranteed.
