Synopsis

The starting point could be found in Pequeños cuentos misóginos (the first show by T de Teatre), in which we told stories (from “Little Tales of Misogyny” by Patricia Highsmith).

After years and various theatrical experiences, came Delicadas (also with T de Teatre), a show in which I was lucky enough to have to tell a story by Alfredo Sanzol (author and director of the whole show).

These theatrical contacts with short stories made me realize that telling tales amuses and fulfils me.

So, I got to work and looked for something nearby, in our country. And, of course, I stumbled upon Calders and his prolific legacy of stories. And pulling on that thread, Calders’ thread, I discovered and re-discovered others:  Rusiñol, Carner, Moncada. And the aphorisms of Joan Fuster (a treasury of wit and sarcasm in two sentences) –the icing on the cake– which helped me to unite and amalgamate everything.

I immediately thought of Marta. In addition to being a friend and companion, I admire her stage direction skills. She helped me give life to all these worlds and turn them into a small theatrical piece.

This was the result: Human humour. A small-format show. Simply staged and rich in content, we offer it to the viewer with sincerity, after almost twenty-five years of those Little Tales of Misogyny.
